What is this?

This is a website that embeds a google calendar, the calendar lists diy events in the baltimore area. The aggregator runs daily-ish and crawls a few different public sites and converts their listings of events into calendar events.

The crawler makes an effort to update when shows are cancelled or moved, but it's not perfect. Often the end times are a guess. Use yr common sense before going to any of these shows, and please be kind in diy and performance spaces.

how do I Subscribe to this Calendar?

Click to subscribe to this google calendar. This will add the calendar to yr own calendar set up, so you can see it on yr spyphone and yr spacewatch etc.

Mobile users note: I had a few reports of the one-click link not working on iPhones. if you click on the above button and it takes you to a weird old google calendar app from 2010, then click "Desktop" at the bottom of the page and you should be able to use it. If it STILL doesn't work... you have to subscribe from a desktop or laptop computer, sorry. Once you do, events will still show up on yr spacephone. I'm not sure why Google is serving calendar software from 2010 and i don't think i can support it, sorry.

Can I submit an event?

That's not what this is, this is just an aggregator.

Is this a beta version?

Yes. There are a few issues to work out - some events with weird formatting don't parse correctly, multi-day events don't work, the de-duplicator needs work with false positives, error handling could be better, and I'd like to automate the crawling so results are accurate up to the hour.
